7 Digital Labs, a Swiss gaming studio behind BloodLoop, announced today its successful seed funding round, raising $4 million. With over three years in the industry, the company is developing a free-to-play hero shooter game integrated into the web3 gaming sphere.
Their flagship product, BloodLoop, is set to lead the next-generation hero shooter market and has attracted immediate interest from the web3 gaming community. Within just two weeks, the closed beta version of the game has already amassed over 350,000 registered users eager to experience it.
The investment round, led by well-known entities like the Avalanche Foundation, Merit Circle, and Citizen Capital, aims to provide the necessary funds for completing the game’s development and launch.
According to CEO & Co-founder Luca Menale, the company’s goal is to create gaming platforms that offer users a seamless, next-generation gaming experience, leveraging the benefits of blockchain technology.
BloodLoop serves as a bridge between traditional web2 and web3 games, ensuring players can enjoy an immersive, competitive experience while embracing blockchain’s benefits like true ownership and asset trading. It’s a 5v5 third-person shooter featuring various maps and game modes where players earn NFTs as rewards. These NFTs can be traded or used to create unique in-game items.
The game also emphasizes competitive play, offering rewards for climbing leaderboards. Powered by an Avalanche Subnet, BloodLoop ensures instant and secure transactions, eliminates in-game fees, and reduces friction for players unfamiliar with blockchain.
Ed Chang, Head of Gaming at Ava Labs, expressed excitement about BloodLoop’s progress and the decision to utilize Avalanche’s network for the game’s blockchain infrastructure. He believes BloodLoop has the potential to be a top-tier web3 hero shooter and pledges full support from Ava Labs as investors in the project.
