Ondo Private Markets Starts With AI Exposure
Ondo Finance launched Ondo Private Markets. The platform offers access to private companies through blockchain products. The first tokenized note tracks a private AI company.
However, the notes do not give direct ownership. Instead, each note monitors share price changes. This happens during a qualifying liquidity event. Therefore, holders receive economic exposure without shareholder rights.
Meanwhile, Ondo plans to add more private companies. These span robotics, cybersecurity, biotech, and infrastructure. Consequently, the platform may offer more variety later.
Tokenized Notes Will Support 24/7 Trading
Ondo created notes for continuous trading. Therefore, eligible investors can enter or exit anytime. This includes outside normal stock-market hours. Access is restricted to authorized areas outside the United States.
Moreover, investors can transfer tokens from supported platforms. They can also use decentralized finance services. However, local rules and platform limits still apply. In addition, investors must meet qualification requirements for each product.
Ondo Expands Its Tokenized Asset Business
Ondo Private Markets uses the same systems as its other products. Those support tokenized stocks and Treasury products. The total value locked is approximately $3.7 billion. Ondo also reports more than one million holders.
Furthermore, the launch moves Ondo beyond public shares and government debt. The company now expands into private-company exposure. For now, the AI-related product is the main focus. Meanwhile, Ondo will add more private-company notes later. Only eligible investors from permitted regions can trade.
