The upgrade officially activated across the network. Traders assessed its impact on performance.

Protocol Version 11 received adequate governance approval. The proposal passed ratification in Epoch 643 on July 13. It automatically enacted at the next epoch boundary. That was July 18, 2026.

The upgrade brings new Plutus features. These enhance smart contract execution. Developers get faster processing and reduced costs. Updated cost models also improve efficiency.

These modifications make decentralized applications more efficient. The Cardano ecosystem continues growing.

The upgrade also enhances ledger consistency. It improves node security. Special VRF keys and new reference input regulations are included.

The hard fork governance action took precedence. The ledger prioritized it over other proposals. No rival governance actions were withheld or stifled.

The upgrade prepares Cardano for the Dijkstra era. Ouroboros Leios will follow in a future hard fork. Leios aims to maximize throughput. It will not compromise security or decentralization.

Whale activity falls while ADA holds steady

Cardano price shows signs of recovery. Whale transactions remain low compared to earlier spikes. Large ADA transfers above 100,000 are limited.

Whale activity spiked to over 200 transactions in January. It then declined in the fol

lowing months. Brief increases occurred in February, March, June, and July. Nevertheless, none matched the first peak.

This slowdown suggests caution among large investors. They are waiting for clearer signals. They may increase activity once they see through the fog.

Cardano price outlook signals 20% rally

ADA surged to $0.165 in four-hour trading. It extended its recovery from the $0.160 support zone. Buyers are trying to gain control.

Short-term resistance sits close to $0.17. A four-hour close above that line could build momentum. This would target $0.180 next. A break of $0.18 could lead to $0.20. That would represent a 20% increase from current levels.

The MACD is still slightly positive. The narrow lines indicate momentum needs more volume. The Chaikin Money Flow sits around 0.13. This suggests capital is still flowing into the market.

ADA must defend $0.16 to preserve the bullish structure. This would prevent another pullback. A failure at support may expose $0.15. Buyers would need to regain confidence there.
