Bitcoin ETF inflows set the market backdrop last week. Specifically, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows on all five trading days. This ran from September 21 through September 25.
Why Bitcoin ETF inflows matter
Farside Investors reported the data. The funds drew $999 million on Monday. They added $714.7 million on Tuesday. Then they brought in $346.9 million on Wednesday. Thursday added $190.7 million. Friday closed with $134.5 million.
Combined inflows reached about $2.39 billion. Meanwhile, Bitcoin reached $87,392 on September 21. It then retreated toward $84,000.
ETF demand supported the initial price rise
A September 24 report covered ETF demand. It quoted BTCS S.A. strategy adviser Wojciech Kaszycki. He said cash entering spot funds supported the initial rise. Futures positions also increased. He placed the next major test near $90,000. This applies if buying continues.
Three leading tokens posted larger moves
CoinmarketCap’s seven-day figures showed a much larger move. This applied to the three leading tokens. Their gains outpaced Bitcoin. Each token also had a separate development behind its advance. Therefore, different price levels remain in focus for the coming week.
