Bitcoin ETF outflows erased October’s net inflows on Wednesday. The funds recorded $484.9 million in withdrawals. This reversed Tuesday’s $118.8 million net inflow.
The withdrawals were the largest since June 25. On that day, the funds lost $691.7 million. Farside Investors reported the data.
Why Bitcoin ETF outflows matter
Wednesday’s outflows wiped out early October gains. Specifically, the funds had attracted $321.6 million over the first four sessions. As a result, Bitcoin ETFs now show approximately $163 million in net outflows for the month.
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust led the withdrawals. It recorded $207.7 million in outflows. Fidelity’s FBTC followed with $105.1 million. ARK 21Shares’ ARKB lost $101.7 million. Notably, IBIT had $122 million in net inflows the day before.
Bitcoin price falls alongside outflows
Bitcoin traded near $82,700 on Thursday. That is down about 2% over the previous 24 hours. TradingView confirmed the price.
Ether funds log seventh straight outflow session
US spot Ether ETFs recorded $160.9 million in net outflows on Wednesday. Consequently, their losing streak reached seven consecutive sessions.
Ether funds have shed approximately $569 million since September 29. BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust accounted for $116.1 million of Wednesday’s withdrawals. Grayscale’s Ethereum Trust followed with $25.8 million.
What comes next
Bitcoin ETF outflows may continue if price weakness persists. However, a recovery could bring inflows back. Meanwhile, Ether’s seven-day streak signals caution. Therefore, traders will watch both trends closely.
