Changpeng Zhao highlighted Bitcoin’s advancing scarcity. Over 20.07 million BTC are now mined. This was as of August 2026.
Only roughly 4.4% of the maximum supply remains. This is from Bitcoin’s 21 million supply cap.
CZ also pointed to lost coins. He estimates 10% to 20% may be lost. Some coins are stuck or permanently inaccessible.
Lost private keys remove coins from the market. The exact amount remains difficult to determine nevertheless.

Trader Quinten Francois noted US millionaire numbers. The US has around 23.6 million millionaires. There are not enough BTCs for each to hold one.
