Tale of Two Spirits: Festive Season Vibes and Crypto Hacking Realities

If you’re sharing holiday cheer this season, you’re part of a vast community spreading warmth, love, and generosity. However, if you’re feeling a bit like the Grinch, you might identify with a smaller group – one that, in this comparison, could include crypto hackers.

Despite the festive spirit, hackers aren’t holding back. Perhaps, from their perspective, every successful scam brings them joy. It’s a conflicting situation, viewing both sides of the issue.

Recently, the code of a crypto protocol used by various web3 applications and services was compromised by hackers, as reported by Ledger, a crypto software and hardware wallet maker.

The extent of the hack’s impact isn’t immediately clear. According to ZachXBT, a reputable independent crypto researcher, one victim reportedly lost over $600,000 in crypto due to the breach.
