Fans of Manchester City, the reigning English football champions, will have the chance to create these “Unseen City Shirts” digital collectibles from April 22nd to 25th.

In a collaboration between the cryptocurrency exchange Okx and Manchester City Football Club, commemorative football shirts are being launched as digital collectibles or non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Manchester City fans, celebrating their team’s recent English championship, can mint these “Unseen City Shirts” digital collectibles during the specified dates.
Dubbed as “The Roses and The Bees,” these collectibles will be minted on Okx’s marketplace and will be randomly assigned rarity levels: classic, rare, or ultra-rare. Those who mint these digital collectibles stand a chance to win physical Manchester City shirts, match tickets, and even a play-on-pitch experience.
Haider Rafique, Okx’s chief marketing officer, expressed excitement about this latest development in their ongoing partnership with Manchester City, which began in March 2022. Rafique emphasized the opportunity to engage the club’s global fanbase in an authentic manner through the “Unseen City Shirts” campaign, leveraging creativity, technology, and innovation.
Nuria Tarré, Manchester City’s chief marketing officer, highlighted the club’s incorporation of the metaverse and Web3 into their innovative technology strategy to engage with fans worldwide. By collaborating with Okx, the club aims to maintain its commitment to delivering unique, creative, and innovative experiences.
This partnership between Okx and Manchester City has seen significant growth since its inception. In July 2022, Okx was named the football club’s official training kit partner for the 2022-23 season, expanding their collaboration. The previous year, Okx became Manchester City’s official sleeve partner, further solidifying their relationship.
