BitMart exchange wind-down has officially started. The platform will end all trading services on August 26.

The exchange will cease operations entirely on January 31, 2027. Users must prepare for the shutdown.

Why BitMart exchange wind-down matters

The company announced the decision on Sunday. “After a careful evaluation of operating conditions and market environment, we have made the difficult decision,” BitMart stated.

Future strategic direction also influenced the choice. The exchange will now commence an orderly wind-down.

BitMart stopped accepting new user registrations. It also halted new deposits. Futures trading entered reduce-only mode. Spot markets no longer accept new orders.

What users should do

Traders must close all open positions. They should withdraw funds before the deadlines. The exchange will continue supporting withdrawals after August 26. This will last until the final closure.

BitMart joins a growing list of closures. BitMEX and Dango announced shutdowns this week. Several crypto platforms have closed recently. Users should monitor official announcements closely.
