Rated evaluates the performance and risk of nodes and node operators on Proof of Stake networks, where they oversee significant value.

Introducing the Solana Network Explorer, Rated provides users with a detailed, real-time overview of Solana’s network performance. This tool allows users to dive deep into consensus data and validator information, critical for securing billions of dollars in value.
Despite the substantial blockchain and transactional value built on the internet, information regarding their performance and associated risks is fragmented. While block explorers are crucial, the work of network operators and blockchain infrastructure providers often remains obscure.
Solana’s performance-driven design heavily relies on its network of validators. With approximately 1,767 validators securing Solana and an active stake of around $58 billion USD across over 1 million active staking accounts, understanding the network’s composition and the risks involved is paramount.
The Rated Solana Network Explorer and suite of API tools address these questions by offering detailed insights into the network’s present and historical states. This includes operator performance, commissions, network penetration, vote effectiveness/latency, client, geo and host distribution, and more. Traditional metrics like uptime, latency, and APY only provide a partial view of a network’s health and the operators’ standings within it. Recognizing this gap, Rated developed RAVER, an open-source methodology aimed at measuring risk-adjusted performance comprehensively.
Reliable and current network state data is foundational for advanced blockchains like Solana. Rated’s methodology not only illuminates Solana’s network specifics but also paves the way for enhanced transparency, accountability, and ongoing innovation.
