CLARITY Act delay keeps crypto markets cautious today. Bitcoin held above $65,100. Ethereum stayed above $1,900. XRP hovered near $1.05.

The Senate postponed the vote until September. This adds regulatory uncertainty to digital assets.

Why CLARITY Act delay matters

Senate Majority Leader John Thune confirmed the timeline. Legislators will not vote until after the August recess. They are expected to reconvene in September.

The legislation will come back then. “It’s queued up first thing when we come back,” Thune said.

Polymarket odds reflect the shift. There is now just a 14% chance of passage in 2026. This is down from almost 50% earlier this month.

Bitcoin price eyes major breakout

BTC fluctuated above $65,100. Traders monitored higher ETF trading and resistance areas.

The nearest resistance sits at $66,500. Breaking that could drive Bitcoin to $68,000. Momentum above $68,000 could open the way to $70,000.

On the downside, BTC must hold $63,000 support. A fall below that could expose $61,500. The crucial support zone sits at $60,000.

The initial target is around $1,950. A successful breakout could bring $2,000 back into focus. Ethereum could then aim for about $2,100.

Nevertheless, the $1,850 area remains important short-term support. A breakdown could push ETH toward $1,800.

XRP price outlook

XRP trades near $1.04 after the CLARITY Act delay. The short-term recovery structure remains intact. The token is still above the key $1.00 support.

The nearest resistance is at $1.08. A breakout could lead to $1.12. Additional gains beyond $1.12 could push XRP to $1.18.

Nevertheless, a decline below $1.00 may undermine momentum. This could expose $0.95.

CLARITY Act delay keeps crypto markets cautious

The Senate decision removes a short-term catalyst. Lawmakers will have more time to work on outstanding clauses.

Technical levels could play a larger role until September. Bitcoin needs a breakout above $68,000. Ethereum must reclaim $2,000. XRP needs to rise above $1.12 to reach $1.18.
