Ondo Finance Offchain Network Launches for Perps

A dual-themed isometric blockchain architecture infographic split down the center by a central gear mechanism. The left side is styled in cool cyan and blue, displaying offchain network optimization with text reading "NETWORK ARCHITECTURE OPTIMIZATION," a clipboard showing "ONDO Launch Details," and ecosystem logos for Ondo Finance, Ethereum, and major institutional providers. The right side transitions into a warm orange and dark grid theme featuring a gear marked "PERPETUALS INTEGRATION," a green and orange upward growth chart labeled "ONDOFINANCE GROWTH TREND," and a document displaying "ONDO PERPS VOLUME BOOST."

Ondo Finance offchain network launched on Monday. The real-world asset tokenization platform announced the new system.

This marks a pivot from its 2025 institution-focused Layer 1 blockchain. Ondo Network now handles trades away from public blockchains.

Why Ondo Finance offchain network matters

Traditional blockchains use distributed networks for validation. Ondo Network runs software inside protected “enclaves.” These are also called Trusted Execution Environments.

A group of operators checks for software changes. Each operator holds part of a digital key. This key authorizes transfers.

Transfers ultimately record on public blockchains. Nevertheless, Ondo did not identify the operators. They also did not say how many are involved.

From Ondo Chain to offchain execution

Ondo announced Ondo Chain in February 2025. It was designed for putting traditional financial assets onchain. The company described the new system as a continuation.

“It isn’t a blockchain today; it doesn’t need to be,” the company stated.

Ondo Chain reached testnet in 2025. JPMorgan’s Kinexys and Chainlink completed its first transaction. This was a tokenized US Treasury settlement.

Ondo Perps is already using the new network. This is the company’s perpetual futures platform. Ondo may add more operators later. They may also record more activity on public blockchains.

The company might introduce a security system too. Participants would put up tokens as collateral. Nevertheless, Ondo provided no timeline for these additions.
