The Cardano blockchain network saw the addition of nine new projects in the last month, accompanied by ongoing improvements in ecosystem projects.
Input Output Global (IOHK), the team responsible for the development of the Cardano network, released its latest ecosystem report, revealing that nine new projects commenced development on the blockchain in the past month alone.
In the mid-December update, IOHK had reported 1,310 projects building on Cardano. However, the most recent report, dated January 19, shows an increase to 1,319 projects. During the same period, four new projects were launched, bringing the total number of launches from 153 to 157.
While the growth may not be as substantial as in the past, the data indicates a consistent interest from developers in the Cardano ecosystem, and increased development activity tends to attract more users. During the reported timeframe, the Cardano network processed three million transactions, surpassing the two million transactions recorded between November and December 2023.
The IOHK report also highlights various improvements to the Cardano network, fostering increased developer and user engagement. Notably, the Marlowe team, working on smart contract functionality, conducted a stress test on block utilization and introduced a benchmark to aid developers in managing the contract lifecycle. The team also enhanced features related to its web application and vesting contract tool.
