Injective, the decentralized finance (DeFi) app platform, recently disclosed plans to stake 50% of the total supply of INJ tokens. In a recent post on January 15, Injective highlighted substantial growth in its monthly staking protocol, revealing that over 47.7 million tokens, constituting 47.7% of the total supply, are currently staked, with an Annual Percentage Rate (APR) of nearly 16% (15.96%).

Over the past month, there has been a consistent uptick in total staking volume and the influx of new delegates, prompting the Injective team to commit to staking half of all available tokens in the near future.
Cryptocurrency expert and influencer Muhmmad Azhar commented on this data, emphasizing the significance of INJ’s increasing share in staking as a noteworthy development indicating a pivotal moment in the decentralization of the network. The protocol crossing the 50% staked threshold would have profound implications for token holders and the overall security of the ecosystem.

Injective also made waves last week with the release of Volan, a major mainnet update aimed at enhancing scalability, compatibility, and introducing numerous additional improvements. Developers consider this update as one of the most monumental in the project’s history, anticipating an influx of users and a significant acceleration in the development of the Injective ecosystem.
Adding to its recent achievements, the Hong Kong Virtual Asset Rating Agency (HKVAC) included INJ in its new list following index adjustments. Known for rating digital asset trading platforms and crypto market indexes, HKVAC serves as a crucial barometer reflecting ongoing shifts in the crypto market.
