Bitcoin ETF inflows surge as US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $175.7 million on October 13. This marked the month’s second-biggest inflow day.
Fidelity’s FBTC led with $103.1 million. BlackRock’s IBIT followed with $65.9 million. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT added $6.7 million. Farside’s flow table confirms these figures.
Why Bitcoin ETF Inflows Surge Matters
A day earlier, the same funds lost $65.4 million. All of that came out of IBIT. Therefore, the October 13 rebound was sharp.

Meanwhile, XRP funds showed no activity. CoinGlass’s XRP ETF page shows zero net flow on October 9, 12, and 13. That is three flat sessions in a row.
Consequently, some analysts see this as rotation. They think money left XRP funds and entered Bitcoin. However, the flow tables do not support that view.
XRP Fund Flows Have Been Flat Since October 9
The last real XRP move came on October 8. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ took in $5.75 million. Every other fund read zero that day.

Before that, the funds added $2.08 million on October 6. They lost $2.20 million on October 2. As of October 13, the page lists four spot funds. Canary’s XRPC holds $316.73 million in assets. Bitwise’s XRP fund holds $310.99 million. Franklin’s XRPZ holds $213.09 million. Grayscale’s GXRP holds $64.68 million.
One caveat is worth noting. The zero reading is not unanimous. A separate XRP ETF tracker shows small positive flows on October 12 and 13. Therefore, treat the flat sessions as published figures, not settled ones.
Rotation Needs Outflows, and XRP Showed None
For capital to rotate, it must leave one asset and arrive in another. XRP funds recorded no redemptions on October 13. Therefore, the $175.7 million that entered Bitcoin funds could not have come from them.
October has been a month of splitting altcoin flows. Bitcoin’s own rows swung from $189.9 million in on October 2. They then hit $484.9 million out on October 7. Thus, one session rarely settles much.
What would change the picture? A negative XRP flow would. So would Bitcoin inflows that keep coming after the flat streak breaks. Until one of those appears, October 13 looks like one strong day. It remains part of a choppy month.
October’s Biggest Inflow Still Belongs to October 2
Farside puts October 2 at $189.9 million. That is above the $175.7 million from October 13. So the 13th was the second-biggest inflow day. It was not the biggest.
The month has swung hard in both directions. The $484.9 million that left on October 7 is still the largest single-day move. Next is $244.1 million out on October 8. Farside had no figures for October 14 yet. The fund columns showed dashes and a zero total.
Since launch, the funds have taken in $57,288 million net. That is according to the same running total.
What Comes Next for Bitcoin ETF Inflows Surge
The contrast between Bitcoin and XRP remains notable. However, rotation requires actual outflows. XRP showed none. Therefore, the two trends may be unrelated.
Traders should watch for negative XRP flows. They should also watch for sustained Bitcoin inflows. If either appears, the picture changes. Until then, October 13 is just one strong day.
