Solana has now completed 262 days—equivalent to over 37 weeks or 6,000 hours—without a major network outage.

According to the network’s own incident history, the last significant disruption occurred on February 6, 2024, lasting around five hours. Though Solana didn’t specify the cause, the issue was reportedly resolved after an upgrade to v1.17.20 and a cluster restart by validator operators.
Past Outages and Their Impact on SOL Price
Following the February outage, Solana’s native token, SOL, dropped 2% to $94. Since then, network stability has significantly improved. Solana’s previous outages included one on February 25, 2023, attributed to cluster instability, and another in September 2022.

Solana, launched in 2020, experienced no major issues until early 2022 when it faced a brief period of degraded performance, followed by 26 incidents, ranging from performance issues to mainnet outages. The blockchain’s ability to maintain stability since February 2024 is notable, reflecting the team’s ongoing commitment to network reliability.
Tracking Solana’s Uptime and Performance

Solana has demonstrated resilience and improvement in uptime, with no major disruptions for nearly nine months. The network’s incident history now serves as a vital tool for tracking its operational progress and reinforcing investor confidence in its long-term stability.
